If Selkie Eau de Parfum is an ode to longing, then Cape Pelorum is its eternally reverberating response. It is the enchanting tune of belonging. It is a vast and slow expanse of warm sand at the heart of a turbulent sea. It is the nacreous reflection of the Sun, rocking on waves and dashing against the jagged spires of rocky shorelines. 

Amidst the churning and groaning, a hum rises. It cuts in and out between the croaking of gulls and the creaking of brittle, sunkissed palms—a whisper of tropical nectar on the salted breeze beckoning us, too, to melt into the horizon. Weighted, warm, and held.

Beautiful, bewitching, and honey-tongued, sirens are arguably the most infamous mythical sea-dweller. Nowadays recognized for their fanned, fishlike tails and oceanic accoutrements, the seirenes were first depicted as monstrous harpie-like beings with feathered wings and sharp talons who inhabited the flower-strewn island of Anthemoessa, located on Cape Pelorum. How exactly their legendary forms morphed from avian to aquatic is disputable, but one common trait remains; whether half bird or half fish, the sirens’ song is sure to enchant and lure anyone who hears it to an early and watery grave.
 

Choose between: 2.5 g or 5 g encased in a beachombed Maryland seashell and wrapped in silk, botanically-dyed in-house with wildcrafted seaweed and homegrown indigo. Each shell is unique and will vary in size, shape, and colour.

Care: this scented token, its shell vessel, and its silken veil should all be preciously stored in a cool, dry area, and could benefit from a protective air-tight container when not in use.

Sumptuous perfume.

The Cape Pelorum solid perfume is intriguing and evocative--lovely to wear. The presentation in a real shell is exquisitely creative.
