Like butterflies, les papillons de nuit (French for ‘night butterflies’; moths) are indispensable pollinators, gorged on nectar and saddled with pollen. Because of their poor sense of sight, these fragile creatures rely on the potent fragrance and milky-white, reflective surfaces of nocturnal flowers in order to locate them, guided by moonlight and a perfumed haze.
Notes of: palo santo* and sweet, sweat-slicked skin on a summer night's breeze. Bright elemi resin, magnolia blossom nectar, white champaca, rosewood, cool creamy tonka, and sandalwood. A woody musk fragrance.
