Position: Shipping and Production Associate
Our little team is growing! LVNEA is looking for a dedicated Shipping and Production Associate. We are looking for someone who can balance careful packing and beautiful presentation with quick, tidy work.
The Shipping and Production Associate's main role is to prepare, ship, and maintain all aspects of order delivery. Secondary responsibilities include production tasks, supporting the production department, receiving deliveries, and maintaining organized stock areas.
We are a women- and queer-led and operated team whose values are reflected in the products we make and the ways we approach care, self-adornment, and community.
- Position Type: Contract 3-4 months, with the potential of becoming permanent
- Full-time, 4 days per week, Monday-Thursday, 10 am-6 pm
- 32 hours, and up to 40 hours per week in the high season (Oct - Dec)
- Compensation: $20/hr
- Location: 160 Saint Viateur East, Montreal - This is an in-person position at our atelier and boutique.
We are looking for someone to begin as soon as possible; interviews will begin the week of Nov 2nd.
The interview process will include in-person interviews and trial tasks. Salary expectations and limits will be discussed before the interview process begins to ensure all parties are on the same page.
Role Overview
- Shipping products, ensuring that items are packed in a professional manner appropriate to luxury items, while ensuring that all fragile items are packed safely and securely
- Suggesting improvements to shipping methods and flow to improve efficiency
- Maintaining the different shipping programmes and accounts used by Lvnea
- Staying aware of the shifting particulars of international shipping policies and requirements
- Staying aware of shipping and general supplies inventory levels and communicating when things need to be stocked up
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the production area, shipping area, and the back of the shop, following the cleaning schedule and guidelines
- Receiving and processing orders of business materials delivered to the boutique
- Following guidelines to accurately mix, bottle and label, and quality-control certain Lvnea products
Requirements
- A meticulous eye for presentation
- Must be organized and efficient
- Able to problem-solve - both individually and while working with coworkers
- Punctual, with reliable transportation to our shop/studio
- Able to keep errors in shipping below 1% of orders shipped
- Able to keep errors in production below 2% of orders produced
- Able to comfortably ship orders at a consistent and quick rate
- English and French bilingual (not necessary but an à tout)
- Able to work a physically demanding job - you'll be on your feet and moving the majority of the day and will have to occasionally lift 50lb+ boxes
