A special limited edition autumn equinox box filled with seasonal offerings and soothing scents to celebrate Mabon, a time of balance where day and night are equal forces, and darkness is slowly beginning to reign. A time when we are poised between the worlds of life and death, of light and dark. Considered a time of balance, it is when we stop and relax and enjoy the fruits of our personal harvests. We mourn that which is passing and celebrate that which is bountiful.
An ambrosial blend of dark vs light, sol vs luna. Lush dark florals, rich ambers, and blackened spices are juxtaposed with sweet honey, bright citrus, apricot and sandalwood. A concentrated botanical perfume extrait and delicious harvest nectar composed of homemade plant tinctures, rare flower extracts, and essential oils in a base blend of organic alcohol and fractionated coconut oil. Extended notes include oakmoss, patchouli, leather, fossilized amber, honey, boronia flower, Bourbonia Edward rose, osmanthus, Mysore sandalwood, saffron, ginger, and black pepper. Smells like the last ray of golden autumn light descending over the horizon leading us into the ever pressing darkness. Presented in a 5ml black amethyst glass bottle with a steel roller ball.
An all-natural soy wax candle with a wooden wick that produces an audible crackling sound of a roaring fire. Generously scented using only essential oils with notes of white sage, frankincense, opoponax resin, silver fir, eaglewood, benzoin, and birch. Reminiscent of a ritual bonfire with a warm woodsy and balsamic fragrance. It is an ode to fire and light bringing warmth to chilly autumn nights. Presented in a 250ml/8 oz black amethyst glass jar with lid. This sacred aura will burn for 50+ hours.
Enfleurage is an ancient practice of capturing scent in oil or fat. It predates Ancient Egypt although it is most commonly known from the 18th century French practice for capturing precious flower essences. This unique balm contains a very special frankincense and spruce resin smoke enfleurage I captured in organic coconut oil, along with homemade pine ash, organic locally farmed beeswax, and essential oils of frankincense, myrrh, sandalwood, helichrysum and sage. Frankincense resin is used traditionally to raise the spirits, reduce feelings of anxiety and depression, as an aphrodisiac, and to restore sexual vitality. Spruce resin has the ability to open breathing passages, deepen the breath, calm the mind and encourage a restful sleep. While the supporting essential oils further relax the mind and promote a natural state of euphoria. It's an aroma for sacred uses, possessing the ability to instill deep tranquility and to slow the breath rate. Apply to temples, behind the ears, wrists and décolletage. Presented in a 15 ml black amethyst glass pot with lid.
A ceremonial smudge blend of botanicals and herbs attributed to the sun and the moon. Conjuring visions of wilting forests and bittersweet autumn meadows. As we enter the dark half of the year, these herbs and botanicals work together to push back our fears and anxieties. Burn as a loose incense on charcoal or use as a potpourri and simmer slowly on the stove. 4oz housed in a black burlap bag with cotton drawstring. With the exception of the frankincense, benzoin and myrrh resin, all herbs and botanicals were home grown or wildcrafted.

“At no other time than autumn does the earth let itself be inhaled in one smell, the ripe earth; in a smell that is in no way inferior to the smell of the sea, bitter where it borders on taste, and more honeysweet where you feel it touching the first sounds. Containing depth within itself, darkness, something of the grave almost.”
