VENERATION OF THE DEAD | Limited-Edition Autumn Seasonal Box

❝ Death closes the gates of time, and opens those of eternity. ❞

Since time immemorial, olfaction has been interwoven into the lustrous fabric of life, as well as death. From the cradle to the tomb, we are continuously developing a complex palette of aromas which inform our vital landscape. These scents can flesh out our fondest memories, or perfume our most disagreeable experiences, and the smell of loss is no exception. The putrid malodour of decay; the static, sterile stink of a waiting room; the bottle of lotion which, in just one whiff, punctuates each memory with a loved one come to pass. These scented relics, whether material or intangible, can provide an intimate dialog between the living and the dead, in a society which now more often than not mutes the dead.

THIS SEASONAL OFFERING CONTAINS:

L'Ossuaire. EAU DE PARFUM

L’Ossuaire
eau de parfum aims to encapsulate the deafening silence held in conversation between the living and the dead, interpreting uncertainty, wonderment, stillness, and embrace into a concentrated spirit water. Constructed around orris root, funerary blooms, oakmoss, and incense, the resulting fragrance is delicate, resinous, and mossy, with the powdered, velvet feel of the dust of time gently stirred by those who wander the halls of the dead in contemplative silence.
