Porcelain roses crown marble archways, flanked by silent sentinels with stone wings and hollow eyes. An epitaph of love left at the foot of the fluttering veil, LVNEA’s Rose Fantôme is an ode to the intricately-adorned monuments erected across the Pere Lachaise cemetery in Paris, France, and the delicately discarded offerings left for the departed.

Notes of: sun-dried hay and wild grasses, a porcelain rose accord, rosewood, and immortelle; delicate tokens left and forgotten amidst towering effigies, rich upturned soil, and overgrown moss.

Rose Fantôme breathes not the fresh, dewy rose in bloom, but the one that has been cut and left to dry and wither with the passage of time. Now one with its surroundings, it blends with the cold, still scent of surrounding stone, drying grass, and sprawls of lichen; a spectral sentinel in the form of soft petal and prickling thorn.

I think this is the one!

I have been searching for my scent for years. And I think this is the one!
I read in one of the other reviews that there was a hint of old books and I agree. The scent is one of a kind, and it is always changing with time, but still remains itself through out and the rose isn't the typical overpowering rose, it is so very subtle but beautiful. There is also a 'spice' to it that is sophisticated—never sweet, sickly, or heavy. I feel ancient, wise, and a little like an Anne Rice vampire ;p

I have been to the Pere Lachaise cemetery in Paris, and although I didn't know what connection to expect,I can confidently say this perfume to captures that particular atmosphere, it's perfect.
It's longevity is impressive, I can still smell it in my hair at the end of the day.
I have never been good at 'picking out' notes from perfumes, I just know if I like it or not. And I really really love this unique scent.

a wild rose

I love this, it's so stinky (in the best way), it makes me feel like I have been running through the woods and staying in a cottage surrounded by dried and fresh roses. I love spraying it in my hair and layering it with Eau de Venus. I maybe don't love it at first spray but once it has dried down it is so so good with a presence that isn't cloying or overwhelming.

Cemetery flowers

I get hay, citrus and dried roses. There’s a bit of an old book smell to it, perhaps that’s the oakmoss? It’s very earthy. I like it layered with morning ritual. Very unique and unusual.

Perfect floral without being too sweet

I'm usually not a floral fan, as they tend to be accompanied by too strong of a sweetness and powder. However, Rose Fantome is amazing!
It's a bit honeyed, I supposed from the hay and immortelle notes, but it does not make me think of a heavy syrup.

The Home

I never expected to find a new favorite perfume, but this one feels as comfortable as a heavy, cozy, beautiful coat. It's like something that I subconsciously knew about myself but had not yet discovered. Funny enough, I have been collecting dead roses all my life.
