Masa & Olive Face Paste | FAT AND THE MOON
To the Aztec and the Maya, Corn was a god. Civilizations sprouted out of corn: not the other way around. Exfoliating our faces with Masa & Olive Face Paste can be a meditation on our dependence and collaboration with plants.
The mild exfoliation of the Masa, along with it's silky starches make it a perfect ingredient to polish away dead skin cells. Lavender adds more soothing properties with Olive oil and wax help keep moisture in the skin after you rinse.
HOW TO: Scoop out ½ teaspoon, mix with a little water and massage into the face lightly. Rinse off with water and a towel pat your face dry. Use a spoon to scoop out the scrub to minimize the introduction of bacteria. Use once or twice a week for exfoliation and invigoration; your skin will be polished AND nourished. Keep out of the shower or near moisture between uses.
