CEDARWOOD, HIMALAYAN | Essential Oil
Pure Cedrus deodora essential oil.
Cedar trees have played an important role in aromatics from ancient times to the present and have been respected and revered. Sacred tree in Hinduism, the name deodora evolved from devadāru, a Sanskrit word that translates to "timber of the gods". Sturdy and invulnerable wood, its strength and power can be best observed in spring when its long graceful limbs once laden with snow and ice are buoyant once again. Himalayan cedarwood is extensively used in soap and is valued as a fixative in perfumes.
