COPAIBA BALSAM | Pure Essential Oil
Pure Copaifera langsdorffii essential oil from Brazil.
The Copaiba tree is found mainly in South America and its oil is collected by tapping the tree, similar to Sugar Maple trees. They yield a thin, clear, and colorless oily resin that thickens and darkens upon contact with air.
Copaiba balsam oil is known in perfumery as an inexpensive natural fixative and is well-suited in chest and muscle rubs, massage blends, skincare, and aftershaves.
It blends well with angelica, benzoin, black pepper, cardamom, cedarwood, chamomile, clove, coriander, elemi, fir, frankincense, geranium, ginger, jasmine, juniper berry, lavandin, lavender, lemon, mimosa, nutmeg, oakmoss, opopanax, orris, patchouli, pine, sandalwood, spruce, thyme, tonka bean, turmeric, vanilla, violet leaf and ylang-ylang.
ASPECTS: Balsamic · woody · sweet · spicy-peppery · soft

Essential oils, absolutes, and other pure plant extracts should not be applied to the skin without being properly diluted in a cosmetic carrier (such as jojoba oil, ethanol, Epsom salts, etc.) Always patch-test when using an essential oil or absolute for the first time, and research whether or not the extract you are using is skin-safe and in what quantity or that it is appropriate for its intended use. Do not ingest essential oils or apply them internally, and avoid contact with the eyes. Keep out of reach of children and pets, and consult a knowledgeable health practitioner before use when pregnant or breastfeeding.
