Tomatoes, fresh off the vine; a family legacy held in the palm of a hand, taut flesh reflecting the sun. Petals, some dropped like bells, others pert and grazing the skyline. Fiddleheads, unfurling with dew. Grass swaying even as the breeze stills, for there are small critters in the bush, and subterranean crawlers rising from the moisture pooling at gnarled roots. Leaves, some serrated like a dagger’s glint beneath the moon, others silver crescents lining thick swaths of deepest earth green. The artemisias, the nightshades, the banes; lore and legend seeded wildly amongst anodyne brethren.

Magical acolytes abound amidst the vernal greenery. Whether found growing in neatly-arranged gardenscapes, or wild in even the most unlikely of urban places, common ‘weeds’ and wildflowers have earned their place in our herbal pharmacies, ritual tool-kits, and perfumer’s organ for their potent essences and innumerable virtues.

Reacquaint yourself with the lush, vegetal, and vibrant effusions of wild greenery, re-contextualized and reintroduced to showcase their unique magical, medicinal, and aromatic properties.

Everything is transformed in the Springtime. Sit amongst the loam, buds, and birdsong, and you’ll be transformed with them.

Jardin de Sorcière is potent plant magic, grown under the high noon sun and gathered beneath the moonlight. An inebriating verdant reinterpretation of the original luminary, this Eau de Parfum distinguishes itself from its waxen namesake through its awe-inspiring vibrancy, replacing the flicker of flame with the diffusive oscillations of wild greenery casting spells on the warming winds.

Built around a veritable pantheon of Botanical Spirits, the unique voices that form this choir of beneficia swell and fall, each in their own time before harmonizing in a chorus of viridian illumination. Follow the whispers, hums, and cries to resistance, down the arcane path of herbcraft and into The Witch's Garden.

𝐋𝐚 𝐋𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐞 ; ❝The Green Blade❞ ◦ Eau Fraîche

A favourite Springtime tonic herb, the bountiful, nutrient-dense Nettle functions as a restorative medicinal ally, helping to dispel the lassitude and fatigue of the colder months. A pharmacological wonder, this double-edged sword is as capable of inflicting harm as it is of providing relief; its trichomes (barbed hairs) teach us not to handle it carelessly and, in turn, reward our patience and care with a veritable cornucopia of beneficial actions.

Like a sharp sting from a thin, pointed blade, La Lame Verte is an invigorating perfume tonic meant to liven the senses, ground the body, and nourish the heart; a wearable olfactory experience that can also be misted through the home to invite in returning vigour.

𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐮𝐬𝐞 ; ❝Chartreuse Cream❞ ◦ Herb-Infused Soothing Face and Body Cream

Chartreuse is a French herbal liqueur, crafted by Carthusian monks since 1737 according to instructions from an alchemical manuscript for an "Elixir of Long Life", given to them by a French diplomat in 1605. It was named after the monks' Grande Chartreuse monastery, located in the Chartreuse Mountains, and said to have been composed of 130 common herbs, plants, and flowers including "lemon balm, dried hyssop flower tops, peppermint, thyme, costmary, arnica flowers, artemisias, and angelica roots." The exact recipes for all forms of Chartreuse remain trade secrets, rumoured to be known at any given time only to those who prepare the herbal mixture.

Crème Chartreuse is a vernal twist on our signature face and body cream, imbued with the resilient spirit and soothing qualities of Spring's most generous gifts. Specially formulated to coddle dry, sensitive, or mature skin types, this moisturizing cream is lightweight, deeply penetrating, and immediately cooling, with a light natural fragrance and a wealth of beneficial topical properties. Apply day or night as needed.

In addition to nutrient-rich nettle and moistening violet leaf and flower extracts, Les Mauvaises Herbes is a powdered bouquet of common, sprawling greens whose gifts are often shrewdly misappreciated. Help cleanse, nourish and soothe dull, blemished skin when needed, or maintain a fresh aglow through regular use.

THE RITUAL: in a vessel, mix equal parts (approximately 1-2 tsp.) powdered herb and clay mixture to water or hydrosol of choice until paste is formed, and apply to face evenly or as a spot-treatment. Allow to dry, and gently remove with a facial cloth or gentle hands. Follow with our Crème Chartreuse or moisturizer of choice.
