Preparing as an herbal tea:
1tsp per cup of water  and/or 4-6 tbsp of dried herb to 1 quart of water, place in tea pot or glass jar.  Boil water kettle or pot and pour boiled water over herbs. Cover with lid and let steep for 10 -15 mins. Infusion will keep in refrigerator between 24 to 48 hours.

Preparing as an herbal hot chocolate:
There are a couple ways you can prepare an herbal chocolate. In the first, you can make an infusion that you combine with a milk or milk alternative that has been warmed with cacao powder (on the stovetop), then sweeten as needed. Another way is to infuse the herbs and cacao powder (or mix) together.
Here is a step-by-step recipe for herbal infused hot chocolates.

Preparing as an herbal wine:
There are a couple of ways you can prepare an herbal wine with these herbs. The first would be soaking the wine with the herbs. Pour out an ounce of wine (drink it!) and then place the herbs in the bottle. Cork it/screw it closed and place in a cool dark spot for two weeks. Strain when serving. You can combine as needed to make the drink to your taste. You can also lightly mull a wine with these herbs on low heat. Try to keep the lid on to avoid losing all the volatile oils.

When using new herbs, verify that they are not contraindicated with any existing medical issue/medications you are taking. Start with small doses and listen to your body.  We encourage you to use the herbal infusions you get from Blueberryjams as an opportunity (or prompt) to get to know the plant medicines they contain.
