Honey is extracted using alcohol from crude yellow beeswax, a byproduct of honey production by the honeybee (Apis mellifera).
The absolute is a pale yellow to deep golden brown, medium to viscous or waxy liquid with a very mild, sweet, oily odor, with a haylike bodynote and a soft, waxy undertone. The scent varies depending on the origin of the beeswax (what kind of flower the bees produced honey from).
It is traditionally used in perfumery and is an especially good natural fixative.
It blends well with jasmine, mimosa, violet, hay, helichrysum, chamomile, orange blossom, and tobacco.
Note: base or mid
Characteristics: sweet, warm, honey, mild
Subsidiary notes and nuances: pollen, hay
Presented undiluted in a 15ml jar or 50ml jar / or diluted to 20% in alcohol in a 5ml black glass bottle with dropper top.
