L'INCARNATION | Eau de Parfum - carnation, musk, honeysuckle

  • $108.00

The unctuous scent of spirit made flesh, L’Incarnation crowns the glory of the divine in the material with garlands of carnations and roses.

From the Latin caro ("flesh") and incarnatio (in reference to God made flesh), or Corona — wreath, garland, or crown. Notes of spicy carnation and rose over soft flesh, L'Incarnation is a vintage floral with a carnal twist.

Featured notes: pink pepper · yuzu · carnation · rose · honeysuckle · clove · vanilla · ambrette

Aspects: a beguiling spiced floral with a bright clove pink opening and a musky, almost powdered dry-down

Ingredients: Alcohol (Cane Sugar, Organic), Natural Fragrance/Parfum (Essential Oils, Absolutes, CO2s, Plant Extracts, and Natural Isolates). May contain limonene and/or linalool, naturally occurring constituents in most essential oils.

Presented in a 30 ml black glass bottle with a spray top or 8 ml clear glass bottle with a spray top.

Variegated

There's a ridiculous scene in the Ridley Scott Cormac McCarthy adaptation of The Counsellor in which Malkina (Cameron Diaz) splays herself on a Ferrari windshield above Reiner (Javier Bardem), who reflects on the experience as 'overly gynaecological.' There is something about L'Incarnation that feels like a cross-section of the anatomy of a flower meeting the glass of a vehicle. The piercing citrusy notes are powdery, almost like a light braille, there's a crown of baby head smell, and it settles, on my skin, as light and buttery. At times, and at best, it reminds me of a more feminine, less metallic Les Lunatiques. At times, it smells a bit like effervescent vitamin C tablets.
