SANDALWOOD | Bioabsolute
Pure Santalum austrocaledonicum bioabsolute.
Sandalwood bioabsolute comes from the wood of slow-growing hemiparasitic trees of the genus Santalum. Overharvesting and illegal logging have led to concerns about the long-term viability of the well-known Santalum album species, commonly known as Indian Sandalwood. We are happy to offer Santalum austrocaledonicum from New Caledonia as a sustainable alternative.
This absolute is made from byproduct matter from other extraction processes (hence the name bioabsolute, or by-absolute). The result is a unique and complex olfactory experience that does not compromise on quality, but does reduce the ecological impact of ingredient sourcing.
Sandalwood bioabsolute is a veritable treat, exuding the sticky sweet aromas of maple syrup and brown sugar, layered over a deep and warm woody base.
