Venus' Flytrap (Dionaea—"daughter of Dione", an epithet of Aphrodite, muscipula—"mouse/fly trap") is a sensitive, carnivorous plant native to the subtropical wetlands of America. It secretes a nectar to lure and capture prey through sweet temptation.
Are you familiar with the secret Language of Flowers? Also known as floriography this fantastical pastime was popularized during the Victorian age as a means to covertly express unspoken desires through the use of colourful stems and arrangements.
